1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to the NihongoDoya Android application ("the App"), operated by NihongoDoya (https://nihongodoya.com). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the NihongoDoya Android application and its connected cloud services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.

2. Description of Service

NihongoDoya is an independent Japanese-language educational and examination-preparation platform designed to assist students and candidates preparing for Japanese proficiency and skills evaluations. The Android application provides access to:

  • Japanese language learning notes, vocabulary lists, and grammar guides.
  • JFT-Basic (Japan Foundation Test for Basic Japanese) practice questions and full-length CBT mock tests.
  • Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) Skill Test practice examinations, including Nursing Care Skills / Nursing Care Japanese evaluations and Food Service Industry evaluations.
  • Additional learning categories, mock test series, and interactive study modules released by NihongoDoya.
  • Educational PDFs, character charts, and reference study tools.
  • Package-based, entitlement-based, and voucher-activated mock test access.

3. Independent Practice Platform Disclaimer

NihongoDoya is an independent educational platform.

NihongoDoya is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with:

  • The Japan Foundation
  • Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES) or JLPT organizers
  • JFT-Basic examination authorities or Prometric
  • The Immigration Services Agency of Japan or the Ministry of Justice of Japan
  • Official SSW Skill Test evaluating organizations (such as Silver Service Association, OTAFF, or other industry bodies)
  • Any government department or official examination authority

All mock questions, practice tests, and study guides provided within NihongoDoya are original or curated practice materials designed for educational study purposes only and are not official exam papers unless explicitly identified as a public official document. Use of NihongoDoya does not guarantee passing JFT-Basic, JLPT, SSW Skill Tests, nor does it guarantee visa eligibility, employment, Japanese immigration approval, or any other official outcome.

4. User Accounts

Access to authenticated features, cloud progress saving, and package entitlements requires signing in with a valid Google Account. By using an account within the App, you agree that:

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and the Google account credentials used to log in.
  • You are responsible for all activities and exam attempts that occur under your authenticated account.
  • You must not share, transfer, or resell access to your authenticated account to third parties.
  • You must not misuse vouchers, entitlement codes, or access control systems.

5. Packages and Access Entitlements

NihongoDoya offers both free study materials and premium mock test packages:

  • Free Content: Free starter sets and introductory materials are accessible to all registered learners.
  • Paid / Activated Packages: Premium mock test sets require an active package entitlement activated via a valid digital voucher or authorized purchase.
  • Scope of Access: Each package entitlement applies specifically to designated test categories (e.g., JFT-Basic or SSW Skill Tests), a defined set range, and an active validity period (e.g., 30 days, 60 days).
  • No Lifetime Guarantee: Access entitlements remain valid for the duration specified at the time of activation or order and do not constitute perpetual or lifetime access unless explicitly sold under those terms.

6. Voucher & Activation Code Rules

When redeeming digital vouchers or activation codes within the App:

  • Single-Use: Each voucher code is typically valid for a single redemption on a single account.
  • Product Association: Codes are tied to specific packages and categories and cannot be exchanged for different test categories once redeemed.
  • Non-Transferable: Once activated, entitlements are permanently attached to the redeeming account and cannot be transferred to another user account.
  • Prohibited Actions: Users must not duplicate, resell, alter, reverse-engineer, guess, or fraudulently generate voucher codes.
  • Enforcement: NihongoDoya reserves the right to disable fraudulent, leaked, or abusive activation codes. Legitimate purchased entitlements will not be arbitrarily revoked.

7. Payments & Orders

Package pricing, valid payment channels, entitlement duration, and included mock test sets are clearly specified at the time of purchase or order. Payment processing methods may vary by region and channel. Digital voucher access may be distributed through authorized partner channels or direct checkout methods governed by the terms stated at the time of purchase.

8. Refund Policy

Because NihongoDoya provides immediate digital access to practice question databases and exam simulations upon activation, refund eligibility depends on the specific payment channel used, mandatory consumer rights under applicable local laws, whether a digital activation code has already been redeemed, and the refund terms presented during the initial purchase. Once a digital voucher code has been redeemed and test content accessed, refunds are generally not available except where required by law.

9. Intellectual Property

All original software code, UI designs, mock test questions, explanations, Japanese furigana annotations, illustrations, audio assets, and educational content in the NihongoDoya Android app are the intellectual property of NihongoDoya and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

Permitted Use: You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and practice with unlocked materials solely for your personal educational preparation.

Prohibited Actions: You may not copy, extract, scrape, decompile, redistribute, republish, resell, or publicly broadcast NihongoDoya mock test question banks, answer keys, or software assets without prior written consent.

10. Acceptable Use Policy

When using the Android application, you agree not to:

  • Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent access restrictions, paywalls, or entitlement verification systems.
  • Engage in automated scraping, data mining, or bot extraction of exam databases.
  • Interfere with, overload, or disrupt backend APIs, Firestore databases, or server infrastructure.
  • Submit fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive data through feedback or support forms.
  • Use the App for any illegal, unauthorized, or infringing activity.

11. Service Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the App and its cloud services operational and responsive. However, online services may occasionally be interrupted due to scheduled maintenance, system upgrades, network outages, or third-party infrastructure failures (e.g., cloud hosting or network providers). We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or continuous service availability at all times.

12. Exam Information & Policy Updates

Official examination formats, question types, booking guidelines, exam center rules, passing criteria, and immigration policies are determined independently by official test administrators and government bodies. While NihongoDoya strives to keep practice materials aligned with current examination standards, users are strongly advised to verify current registration deadlines, fees, and rules directly through official examination websites.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NihongoDoya, its developers, and operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, exam fees, lost opportunity, or study disruption arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the application or educational materials.

14. Suspension & Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate app access for any user who engages in voucher fraud, security attacks, unauthorized content distribution, or severe violations of these Terms. Normal, legitimate learners using the service in good faith will not have access terminated arbitrarily.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to accommodate new app features, product offerings, or regulatory requirements. Any updates will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App following the posting of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

16. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nepal. Any legal disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with the application shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Nepal.
