About This 90-Day JFT-Basic Roadmap

The JFT-Basic test measures whether you have enough Japanese for daily life, and it is one of the language options for the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW / 特定技能) route to working in Japan. It is very practical, so the study focus is different from the JLPT — communication and real situations matter more than deep grammar.

This roadmap lays out 90 days in practical phases: both kana first, then survival phrases and self-introduction, core polite grammar, and heavy daily-life vocabulary — numbers, money, time, transport, food and workplace words. It then moves through situational Japanese (convenience store, hospital, city hall), everyday kanji recognition (危険, 入口, 非常口…), and focused listening and reading.

The final days are timed mock tests, drilling whichever section you score lowest on. Everything is on one printable page. Pair it with our JFT-Basic kanji sheet and practice materials for the study content.
